You did it! Your votes won us $5K & got our founder, Bethany, named babble.com's Mom of the Year (Politics).

Washington Post Writers' Group columnist calls our impact "little short of transformational."

Our founder, Bethany, was named one of 40 under 40 progressive political entrepreneurs of 2011 by New Leaders Council.

Our Fellows and their impact featured in Next American City's summer issue on service.

Our Vision:  An educated citizenry engaged in developing and providing innovative and cross-disciplinary responses to the social problems in their own local communities.

Our Mission: Empower the next generation of leaders for America's cities by (1) introducing the best and brightest recent college graduates to the inner workings of local government; (2) bringing their talent and energy to bear addressing the challenges local communities face; and (3) exposing them to meaningful careers in public service.

Our Method: An independent, non-partisan national service corps that integrates hands-on work experience inside the highest levels of local government with intensive training in how cities work and the people, issues and organizations that impact local policy.

Our Results:
To date, 62 diverse recent college grads have worked more than 75,500 hours solving challenges facing the residents of Houston and San Francisco. They also have completed 72 pro bono consulting projects for city agencies.  Our Fellows have found ways to save their cities millions of dollars, to generate millions more in revenue and grants, to green city practices, to simultaneously streamline and improve public safety, public health, water and power and public transportation services, and much much more.
