Projects: I am assisting the Assistant Chief on coordinating a number of information streams. I am developing a recruiting strategy and a plan for evaluating recruitment efforts. I am helping to coordinate the creation of a database that will track Fire Department applicants through the entire process and tie into their academy profile. I am digesting information for the Houston Fire Department's upcoming accreditation recertification process for my Command and evaluating the Command based on compliance with the upcoming requirements. Additionally, I will be helping to prepare transition documents and briefing materials for the new Mayor and Council who will take office in January.

Why Houston is important to me: As a native Texan, I am excited about the opportunity to achieve two of my greatest passions: my home state and serving in government.
Something unique about me: As a college student, I led groups of students into Nogales, Mexico to help build houses for needy families.
