Why San Francisco is important to me: I love what San Francisco represents, and that is in many ways best symbolized in its city government. It is a leader on key issues spanning environmental sustainability, urban planning, homelessness, and LGBT rights. San Francisco is constantly looking for innovative ways to better serve the City. In doing so, the City not only serves its own citizens, but it serves as a model for cities around the country and the world to follow its lead.

Something unique about me: I produce music, primarily pop-influenced, and am learning to play the guitar.

What I'm doing now: I’m currently working in broadcast and audio production at the public radio station in Pittsburgh, WYEP. This is another area of the public sphere I’m interested in and has been a nice change. I ultimately plan to pursue work in the policy realm and would like to go on to policy graduate school.
